I was working for Taylor Diving and Salvage in this photo. This is a 1980 Hyperbaric weld in Campeche Bay Mexico. On this job the sea bed was at 130 feet. The habitat was dredged down into the mud an additional 20 feet. We had an air lift tied off to the tunnel entrance so that we could dig our way out of the habitat after an eight to twelve hour work shift. Because of the long dive times this was a saturation dive. We where breathing HeO2. Ed Thomas was my dive and welding partner and he took this photo. I did a lot of diving with Ed and liked him allot. We did a lot of drinking in New Orleans too. He still owes me $1,000.00!
