North Sea 1978.

By 78Taylor Diving and Salvage had trained me as a hyperbaric welder. When I had hired on with Taylor Diving I had already been a welder for 3 years. Taylor put thought an additional 6 months of pipe welding school and an in-house training program. My first saturation dive was a welding job to repair Phillips Petroleum "Tee Side" pipeline in the UK sector of the North Sea. Roger Holdsworth and I were diving partners that entire season. We worked from the Brown and Root barge "Bar 323". It was a long dive season for us and I was involved with a number of hyperbaric welds. I learned a lot from Roger D that year.
