Diving Superintendent
My Employment Objective
I am looking for a position as Diving Superintendent. I am currently available for employment and I can provide excellent references.
Recent Achievement
I am currently working for Dulam International as Project Manager responsible for the conversion of the DP class 2 Apache cable laying ship to a Dive Support Vessel. I am responsible for the installation of Dulam International's new 9 man saturation diving system and its commissioning. I am scheduled to be the diving superintendent working this vessel early this year.
Previously working for Dulam International as Senior Diving Superintendent, my most recent project was on board the Seamec Princess where I was Diving Superintendent from September until December. I was responsible for a diving crew of 28 men. I maintained a 9 man saturation team for the duration of the project and was responsible for crew changes, logistics, and the work scope. The diving operations involved the installation of 48 spool piece, hydro tight tie-ins, and J-Tube control umbilical pull ins.
Previously working for Dulam International as Senior Diving Superintendent, my work scope was on board the Seamec Princess where I was Diving Superintendent from January to May. I was responsible for a diving crew of 50 men and an additional 59 marine crew. I maintained a 9 man saturation team for the duration of the project and was responsible for crew changes, logistics, and the work scope. The diving operations involved the installation of 72 spool piece and hydro tight tie-ins. The largest spool weighing 68 tons.
Previously working for Dulam International as Senior Diving Superintendent. The diving operations involved the installation of 50 spool piece, hydro tight tie-ins, and the laying and installation of two control umbilical. The longest being 6 kilometers and weighting 380 tons.
Previously I worked for British Petroleum as Senior Diving Representative on board the Seamec III during the commissioning of the BP Trinidad and Tobago gas field development project. I answered directly to Mr. “Taff” Jenkins, the Responsible Diving Person for BP in Trinidad, and to Mr. Terry Hall, the BP Global Diving and Subsea Safety Advisor in London. My offshore responsibilities included vessel logistics and the scheduling of work for three DSV and two supply boats. I was responsible for all subsea work, paying particular attention to oil production and platform activity. I worked along side Mr. Andre Van Heerdan, the diving contractors’ superintendent, and assisted him in the planning of the daily diving activities.
Work Experience
I have worked as Client Representative, Project Manager, Diving Superintendent, and Diving Supervisor. I have over 5 years experience as Superintendent and 30 years offshore subsea experience. I have supervised hyperbaric welding of pipe lines, and platform repairs. I have also supervised valve installations, flange tie-ins, spool piece installations, Coflexie pipe installation, riser and riser clamp installations. Pigging and pressure testing, pipe line dredging, and metrology. I was employed as a hyperbaric welder for 25 years and completed 300 hyperbaric welds. A record number. I have spent more than 2800 days in saturation during my 30 year career. I have the experience and a capable crew to successfully complete any subsea task.
